National Zoological Park
The National Zoological Park (often referred as Delhi Zoo), is a whopping 176-acre zoological garden located close to the Old Fort in Delhi. It is one of the most preferred picnic places in Delhi.The National Zoological Park can be explored by walk or by battery-powered dedicated vehicle. The Delhi Zoo houses almost 2,000 animals and bird species, which belong to places like America, Australia, Africa and Asia.

Shalimar Garden
The Shalimar Garden is situated in the back of Delhi University. The place has got a historic significance that it was the exact spot where Abul Muzaffar Muhi-ud-Din Mohammad Aurangzeb crowned as the sixth Mughal Emperor and dominated over most of the Indian subcontinent. The present-day Shalimar Garden is just the remains of historical memorials and edifices, which speak aloud about the glory of Mughal era. The imported grass fields, pellucid water bodies, flowered decorations and what not. The Shalimar Garden is a site to hold dear in the memories for a long time.

Lodhi Gardens
The Lodhi Gardens, also known as Lodhi Bagh is not just a garden as the name suggests but a historical site which is maintained by the Archeological Survey of India. The gardens comprise of Sikander Lodi's Tomb (sultan of Delhi during 1489 to 1517), architectural works of Sayyid (fourth dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate) and many more historical remains. The center of the Lodi Gardens houses Bara Gumbad (Big Dome); a mosque constructed way back 1494.

Buddha Jayanthi Park
The Buddha Jayanthi park, also known as Buddha Jayanti Smarak Park is a pleasing park decorated with flowers and green fields all around. The Buddha Jayanthi park was established marking the juncture of the 2500th day of remembrance of Buddha's enlightenment.A sapling of Bodhi tree was brought in from Sri Lanka and deep-rooted in the Buddha Jayanthi park as a commemoration. The Buddha statue (presented by Dalai Lama) located in the park stuns the visitors with its amazing beauty.
