Jim Corbett National Park

One of the oldest national parks in India, the Jim Corbett National Park was established in the year 1936 with the name as Hailey National Park. It was established with a motive to protect the endangered Bengal tiger species. The Jim Corbett National Park is located in Nainital in Uttrakhand state and was later renamed as Jim Corbett National Park for the active involvement of conservationist Jim Corbett in building this park. The park falls under the Project Tiger initiative.
