• A copy of the marriage invitation is to be submitted along with these documents along with the marriage photo pasted on a paper.

• Witnesses from both the sides.

• After filling the application get a print out of the form and the acknowledgement receipt on which you will get a number.

• Post the printed form to the particular officer who deals with it through registered post.

Inter-Community Marriage:

If your marriage is an inter caste or an inter-community then you can get your marriage certificate under the special marriage act. One should apply for 30 days before the marriage and then can get it certified. The documents required are the:

• Duly filled application form signed by the bride and the groom.
• Receipt of the fee of Rs.15/- which is deposited with cashier of District
  
• Age-proof of both the parties
  
• Evidence regarding stay in Delhi which should be more than 30 days
• Separate affidavits from bride and groom giving:
• Date of birth.
• Current marital status
• Confirmation that none of the parties are related to each other
  
• Two Passport size photographs of both parties attested by a Gazetted Officer.
• Copy of divorce decree/order in case of a divorcee and death certificate of spouse in case of widow/widower.
• And any marriage under this special act can be registered only in the office under the jurisdiction the bride or the bridegroom resides.
