Lodhi Colony Market in Delhi

Lodhi Colony lies nearby the Lodhi road and is touted as the quietest residential area in Delhi. It is located in the posh Southern district of the city. The market was set up in around 1945. Lodhi Colony basically houses three major markets, viz. Khan market, Khanna market and the Meherchand market.

Meherchand Market

One of the oldest markets in Delhi, the Meherchand market which was initially dominated by the tailoring shops, now boasts of being a new favorite of the retailers and designers.

This place houses some of the posh and upmarket stores of Delhi including Soma, Nappa Dori, Karigari, Crazy Daisy, Oomph Factory, Play Clan, Cottons and Satins, Pia Puro, etc. One can find stylish garments, elegant home décor items, handicraft articles, cutlery items, etc.

Appna is a flagship store of ex-Miss India Nafisa Ali and bears much resemblance to her down to earth nature and timeless beauty. The biggest USP of the store is that it offers chic kurtis, salwaar kameez, stunning kaftans and ladies wear in beads, sequin, zari work, all at affordable prices.

Pia Pauro gives you a share of the luxury clothing offering embellished kaftans, cocktail dresses, garments in bold, bright colors, exquisite saris, printed tote bags. This store in Meherchand market is the brand's first flagship store across Delhi.

Stores like Bian by Gurpreet Pia Fleming, a New York based stylist or Manish Arora's Fish fry, Anuradha Raman's studio or Masaba Gupta's store to experience exclusive attention and limited edition clothing.  CMYK is more than just a plain bookstore housing illustrated books related to art, architecture and has been hosting workshops on photography, calligraphy workshops, book readings, art exhibitions, film screenings.

The chicken tikkas and richly cooked kebabs of the M1 Food Centre are a mouthwatering treat. Tres offers a good wine collection apart from tempting desserts and lunch options. Chilli Season serves authentic Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese food.

If you are not short of time then pay a visit to the magnificent Safdarjung Tomb, which is at a distance of about 2 kilometers from the market.
