Members of Parliament from Delhi

The democratic country of India has given the right of vote to its citizens after every five years thus giving them an opportunity to choose the government of their choice to look after their demands and expectations. Total number of members in parliament is 552 of which elections are held for 530 seats, 20 seats are represented by members from Union Territories and 2 seats are reserved for Anglo Indian members.

The party with majority of seats which is equivalent to two-third ratio of seats won by party forms the government in center. Some times when no party is able to get the required majority then the party winning the large number of seats makes alliances with the parties with same manifesto’s to form the government in center.

Besides this some times the situation rises when the government looses its vote of confidence in Lok sabha when it fails to capture the confidence of the members in Lok sabha in case of any controversial bill or act. In such situation the mid-term elections are organized.

The vote of non-confidence is presented by the leader of opposition party who is the second largest party in the lok sabha after the ruling party. At present following members are elected as member of parliament from the state of Delhi.
